A New Approach to Water Filterization

Conventional filters are a temporary fix—creating waste while failing to address the core problem of water pollution.

The Renature Filter represents a fundamental shift. Made from advanced materials science, we turn common 3D-printed polylactic acid (PLA) into a high-performance, reusable adsorption device. Our PLA surface engineering makes a stable, graphene oxide coating that actively captures pollutants where disposable filters simply trap them and clog themselves.

 

It’s not just an ordinary water treatment device, it’s a fully customizable, zero secondary pollution, high-capacity purification platform designed for labs, remote settings, and point-of-use applications.

How It Works

Activate and Attract

We start with a 3D-printed, biodegradable PLA structure. Its surface is activated using a lab-optimized chemical etching process, creating a rough, porous landscape. A silane coupling agent is then applied onto this surface, forming a durable molecular "glue" to bind our active adsorbent.

Capture and Contain

A uniform coating of graphene oxide (GO) is chemically immobilized onto the prepared PLA scaffold. When contaminated water flows through, pollutants like dyes and pharmaceuticals are captured through multiple mechanisms. First, they are strongly adsorbed onto the GO via π-π interactions and electrostatic forces while being securely contained within the filter's engineered matrix.

Regenerate and Reuse

Unlike single-use filters, Renature Filter is designed for multiple cycles. Once saturated, the captured pollutants can be desorbed in a controlled regeneration process. Laboratory tests confirm the coating's exceptional stability, retaining over 86% of its structure in water after 9 days and maintaining over 75% of its original adsorption capacity after 6 reuse cycles. This reusability turns purification into a sustainable cycle, not a waste stream of secondary pollution.
